BABYSAFE
Study completed and recruitment closed
What is BABYSAFE?
BABYSAFE is a project which is developing an EEG/ECG electrode for monitoring the neurological health of the baby during labour. Secondly, INFANT researchers are also working on an algorithm which can interpret the fetal EEG for non-expert users.
Developing the device together with our industry partner, researchers will provide the clinical data for the electrode prototypes. INFANT researchers will also test the electrodes.
How does BABYSAFE work?
To interpret data from these electrodes, BABYSAFE will be developing software with another industry partner. INFANT’s existing research and datasets, together with the new information from these electrodes, will help us improve care for newborn babies.
