BabyLink
Study completed and recruitment closed
BabyLink is a collaboration with IBM to develop a remote monitoring solution for the newborn brain. This solution will be designed together with a software algorithm which can interpret the neurological data. BabyLink supports decisions made in the neonatal unit by using IBM’s InfoSphere Streams technology, which provides real-time processing of large amounts of data.
How does BabyLink work?
The progress made by INFANT researchers since the project’s launch has seen BabyLink applied in a multi-bed single unit NICU environment. It transmits EEG signals to a cloud-based server where algorithms analyse the data as it arrives and provide real-time interpretation of neurological signals.
