Jean Conway

Senior Clinical Project Manager

Jean Conway has twenty plus years’ research experience gained previously working for a small CRO as a clinical trials manager. Proficient in clinical research regulations in the paediatric space, ICH and GCP guidelines for Investigational Medicinal Products as well as ISO standards for medical device studies. She has worked as a pharmacovigilance officer for a small drug company and has been responsible for safety reporting in medical device trials. Jean studied nursing at The University of New Hampshire in the USA from 1982-1986 before moving to Ireland in 1993 with her family. In 2016 she completed a master’s in clinical research from the University of Edinburgh. She has a special interest in parental/patient involvement in paediatric research.

Jean joined INFANT in December 2013 as Project Manager for the HRB-funded BiHIVE Study with Prof Deirdre Murray and as Clinical Project Manager for Prof Geraldine Boylan’s Wellcome Trust funded ANSeR  Study. Jean currently divides her project management expertise between the EU Horizon Health funded ETHEREAL project which is investigating mental health issues with adolescents diagnosed with Autism, EDI-CPI project funded by the Cerebral Palsy Foundation investigating Early Detection of Cerebral Palsy in Ireland and the RCSI led Cystic Fibrosis Study ENHANCE – Establishing Natural History in an Advanced New CF Care Era.

Jean has coordinated multinational and national studies as part of her project management role within INFANT. She is the administrator for Clinical Trials .gov registration for all INFANT studies and takes an active role in ethics requirements for the group.
